Drinking Coffee
Drinking coffee with people is one of my favorite jobs. The best way to build community is with coffee. I believe there are three things that I as followers of Christ need to focus on.
- Relationships
- Discipleship
- Transformation
I only need to focus on relationships because I believe that the rest will follow. See discipleship will follow relationship and transformation will follow discipleship. By drinking coffee with people is relational, that is the focus, to be with people. In Luke 10 we read that Jesus send out the 72. I think that Jesus told them, Go into the towns, meet the people have relationship(s) with them, meet their needs by praying for them, heal their sick. And them tell them about Me.
Sometimes we start at the end by telling people that they need to transform their lives. And that Jesus will help them. (this is true) But that is the end. If my way of life is Jesus people would love to change.

Koffie Kampstoel het hierdie koffie tyd met Koos Kombuis en deel dit graag met ons. Dit is Koos se praatjie tydens Tuks se Teologies Ope dag, die is eerste geplaas op www.teo.co.za Geniet dit Vrede Koffie Kampstoel Die Derde Lewe van Colet Deur Koos Kombuis Ek het drie keer in my lewe tot bekering gekom. Hierdie drie bekerings is die coolste goed wat ooit met my gebeur het. Dis vandag die eerste keer dat ek in die openbaar daaroor praat. My eerste bekering was die lekkerste. Maar dit het ongelukkig ook die kortste geduur. Dit was alles oor in omtrent tien minute, en die goeie gevolge daarvan het nie eens ‘n jaar gehou nie. Dit het gebeur op die ouderdom van sestien. Ek was ’n opstandige en woedende tienderjarige. Ek het my ouers gehaat, ek het die wêreld gehaat, en my grootste ideaal was om Mosambiek toe te vlug en ‘n omroeper by LM Radio te word en vir die res van my lewe op goue strande rond te lê en meisies op te tel. |
