Was Jesus of Nazareth an irreligious agitator? Was His message more radical than we've been led to believe? Has the Christian religion missed the point? Bruxy Cavey thinks so. And I want to agree with him...
I still love Jesus and believe that He is the WAY to the Father. But there is more in it than just religion. Jesus takes us from holy water to wedding wine. From legalism to life. From religion to relationship. We must have a relationship with Jesus. No religion can save me, only my relationship with Jesus. "Religion as an institution, the Temple as an ultimate end, or, in other words, religion for religion's sake, is idolatry." - Abraham Joshua Heschel, Jewish poet and philosopher. Let's go and be irreligious in following Jesus. Peace |
